Water Resources Engineering

MTG has provided both public and private sector water resource engineering, in particular addressing water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure engineering services on an ongoing basis for over 30 years. MTG’s diverse abilities enable us to accomplish projects which may involve hydraulics of both gravity and pressurized piping systems, ground and elevated storage systems, pump stations, and small to large water/wastewater treatment systems.

In the area of water, we are pleased with our participation in the Sulphur Basin Group, which was recently selected by the Sulphur River Basin Authority for engineering services to develop the proposed Marvin C. Nichols Reservoir in NE Texas. We are truly excited about this project, as it will serve the water needs of North Texas for many years to come.

Some of our representative projects include:

• Water distribution systems for Texarkana Water Utilities. This involved the construction of a 30" regional distribution line to provide water from the North Texarkana area to the Red River Army Depot. Additionally, several local distribution lines were constructed to serve new service areas.

• Elevated water storage systems for Texarkana Water Utilities. This involved the construction of two separate systems to provide for rapidly expanding portions of Texarkana on both the north and south areas of the City.

• Ground Water Storage Systems. MTG services provide the necessary analysis and planning services for our clients to make informed decisions regarding needs. This groundwater storage system was the right fit for the City of Naples.

• Wastewater treatment plant for the City of Hughes Springs. This involved the design and construction oversight of a new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility.
